Healthy Almond Joyous Snacks

I love Almond Joys candy bars! I was so happy when I came up with this super simple recipe to satisfy my cravings! Keep it mind, it does contain a small amount of tapioca syrup. So it’s not sugar-free. But it is low in sugar. And it reminds me greatly of the real deal!

Also, keep in mind that this recipe is not a “made from scratch” recipe. Although I could make that, this recipe only has 4 ingredients, thereby making it simple to make!

You can easily double this recipe. I chose to make a smaller portion because I know I’d gobble all of these up way too quickly if I made a large batch at a time!

INGREDIENTS:

6-12 raw, shelled almonds

3 Nutiva O’Coconut Hemp & Chia Coconut Treats

2 oz stevia-sweetened chocolate chips

1 tsp coconut oil

DIRECTIONS:

1. In a small pan over low heat, melt the chocolate and the coconut oil. Once it is melted, remove it from heat and let it cool off so that it does not burn. (Do not let it cool to the point of hardening.)

2. Open three packets of Nutiva O’Coconut Hemp & Chia Coconut Treats. Split the treat into two equal portions. Roll the treats and slightly flatten them.

3. Place 1 or 2 almonds in each treat (depending upon preference).

4. Once chocolate mixture has cooled off and is safe to handle, place each treat in a spoon and dip them into the melted chocolate mixture. Turn the treat around so that it is covered in chocolate.

5. Place treats on a glass surface and let them harden in a refrigerator for about ten minutes.
